Today (Monday 26th May) mum took Tally to an agility show while I stayed at home with Grandpa Nalle. Nalle used to enjoy going to shows, but the long days are too much for him now as he is getting old. Mum was worried about Nalle staying at home alone, so I offered to stay and keep him company, especially as Grandma Lotte is no longer around.

Nalle and I were both fast asleep when all of a sudden Auntie Alicat arrived with Zeus the Doberman and said we were all going for a Walk! I laughed at Zeus and Nalle as they had to put on their raincoats. It wasn't raining and I thought they were being silly. There was no way I was going to put my raincoat on when it wasn't raining! Oh, but Aunt Alicat had other ideas and said I had to wear it so we would all match! I thought she was being very silly and laughed, but did as I was told.

As we walkked along the road, I insisted on walking next to Zeus - when we saw a man loading things into a van. I hid behind Zeus! Not that I was scared at all, I just thought Zeus might like to walk up to the man first. As it was, the man just smiled and moved out of our way when he saw us walking towards him.
When we got over the canal bridge it was time to have our leads taken off so that we could run around. Nalle was smiling lots as he really likes walking with Zeus, they have been friends for a long time. Just after our leads came off, the rain started to fall and I found myself wondering if maybe my raincoat might have been a good idea after all.
We walked along the canal until we came to a grassy area on our right. Zeus and Nalle ran off towards a dark muddy path, I think it is called a bridleway, and Aunt Allicat said we could all walk that way as she had her boots on so the wet and mud wouldn't be a problem.

Zeus and Nalle were very pleased to be walking the dark and muddy way and ran off ahead, but I wasn't so sure - I didn't like the now very heavy raun that was falling on me and the dark path looked very scary, so I thought it best if I stayed very close to Aunt Alicat to make sure she was safe, I even asked her to put my lead back on so she knew I wouldn't be running off and leaving her all alone.
After a few minutes of walking along the dark and wet path, I realised that Aunt Alicat wasn't scared and didn't need me to look after her, so I went off to play with Zeus and Nalle. The puddles were HUGE and very muddy, it was brilliant fun and I soon forgot to worry about the heavy rain that was falling down on us all.

When we arrived home, Aunt Alicat took our coats and leads off and rubbed our heads and legs with a big towel to help us dry and gave us big cuddles before she had to take Zeus away again. Tally may have had an exciting day at her show, but she missed out on all the great fun we had, so I don't need to be jealous of her this time.
** Note from Tally
Actually Barkley, the show was one we would rather forget. The big rain didn't reach us until the afternoon, but it blew a big gale. Things flew around, and we heard that trees had been blown down blocking the roads. I flew around too, but the wind unbalanced me, and I knocked a pole down, I was also naughty and flew off the Aframe contact. Then the wind blew even harder and sent me silly, because it blew my rear end and felt funny.
Mum took me out of the ring at that point, because she didn't think there was any going on whilst I was laughing so much at the wind. Then I saw that the wind might not be funny after all. Mum and I were heading back towards the Show Secretary's marquee, when all of a sudden, it flew up unto the air and then went sideways, taking the people and the dogs who were in there with it. It was very frightening. People screamed and shouted. We all ran to see if we could help, but then dogs came running out in a blind panic. The marquee then came to a stop, and quite a few people were lying on the ground. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, but we did hear of two older people who were taken to hospital suffering from shock and bruising. Many people then decided to pack up and leave. We stayed on to watch Molly come 5th in the small/medium dog circular jumping, but then the rain really did come down, so we left too.
It was really nice when we got back to you and Nalle though. Didn't we have fun having a dog party with Molly and Bebe, whilst the humans ate their Chinese takeaway? Roll on summer!
