Grrrrrrrrrr Grrrrrrrr Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Did you hear that? I think somebody is watching us.

Hello? Ohhhhh yes HARRROOW I can see you now.
Ah-hum!!! I mean Arrrooo rooo rooo rooo Barkley doggy bloggers. Have I got lots to tell you this week. As you see I am all wet. This is because I was out in a thunderstorm, taking my Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award. Oh yes, and guess what? I passed it again - for the second time around. You know, I didn't have to do it again because I had been naughty... nah not me, I am such a GOOD BOY and butter never melts in my mouth, it was all because of that Gail lady I told you about in my last post. She has spent the last few weeks training me to respond to her. I really did find it confusing at first, but yesterday evening, I was in a very good mood, and I decided to pass it for her. This time she gets to keep the ribbon and the certificate. Mum still has the one she collected for me, and that is pinned on the awards board in the kitchen. That's where all our achivement ribbons and certificates go.

I must say, we were all very impressed by the dogs and owners who also took their test, because the rain came hammering down, and there was thunder and lightening too. Tallulah and dear old Nalle became scared and mum had to put them away with the doors closed so that they could be well protected. I am Barkley though, and I wasn't scared at all. Neither were the other dogs. It was great too that 6 out of 7 of us passed.

See - I am all soaking wet.

It is really nice to be a wet Setter (don't forget, if you click on the pictures, you can see me in a much larger form).

Now for some bigger very good news. This made mum very happy for me. Last Saturday I got my first clear run in Grade 2 agility. Mum says it was a very easy course which was good for me. I also BEAT THAT TALLY !!!! Yes - I did. She was very naughty and flew the dogwalk contact, so mum took her out of the ring to remind her that she had ignored the rules of the game. I was good though and did everything mum asked of me. I went very steady on the contacts, because I have fallen off at one show after I went silly, and on the see-saw I catapaulted off when I tried to go too fast without tipping it first. Mum was very very pleased with my performance this time and I heard her telling people that it is all coming together very nicely for me. My weave action needs bringing on too, but mum, Gail and I are all working on that in training now. I AM going to be faster than Tallulah one day. I am catching up fast now. Faster contacts are coming, so watch out Tallulah - here I come.
