Oh dear, is this bad news or good news?

Ar-row -row - row!!! My bark has got a lot deeper now that I am older.

I am almost all grown up now, but not quite. Mum says I still have a bit of filling out to do. Really??? I thought I was just wonderful, marvellous, shimmering with condition and well.... just p-u-r-e perfection - that's me alright!

You see, I still haven't quite come back down to earth after having become a male model for the day, so I still like to pose, just in case I am called back for another session. Here I am in one of my ready to go hunting stances:

So handsome I am. I was looking at a squirrel at the time this photo was taken and wondering if I could catch it so that mum could serve it up for our dinner? However Miss Tallulah joined in with the watching

and before I could decide what I wanted to do about that squirrel, she took off in full flight and chased it up a tree!!! Well, that was it. Nothing for me to eat today because of her.....

"Barkley, that is just not true. We had a lovely dinner this afternoon, don't you remember? you and I had the biggest share of the chicken carcass, and whilst Tallulah is on a diet (which is always), she had the smaller piece. It was bought from the place mum calls "shopping" and was served up by her. When have YOU ever been able to catch a squirrel? - apart from in your dreams where you go squeak squeak and kick your legs so hard that Tallulah goes flying across the bedroom at 3.00am!!!"

Well Nalle, I have to say, I am not thinking too clearly these days, as I am becoming rather confused, because she - mum - has been talking about......

one of these!!!! This is me when I was 'one of these' but
she keeps on talking about getting another 'one of these'.....

The plan was that she would go looking for 'one of these' a few weeks ago, but for various reasons she decided a winter puppy wasn't such a good idea, after all. Phew... Barkley wipes the sweat from his brow. BUT there is a rumour that these two are planning to get married next week... OOOOH NO, mum said it would be January, but Skye decided to bring their wedding arrangements forward a month:

Tallulah's sister 'Skye' (right) and Archie, the dog she co-inhabits with. Grrrrrr. What if 'one of these' results from those two getting it together???? Where will that leave me? I won't be the baby of the household anymore. I will have to leave the puppy page of the website. I will have to close my blog because 'one of these' will undoubtedly end up taking everything over ....... a - wooooooooooooooo a- wooooooooo!!!!
