It was Tallulah's 6th birthday last week, and we had a big party at our paddock, with lots of guests. Here are some pictures of a few of those who were invited. We had lots of fun and games, with competitions and a doggie birthday cake. For the second year running, Zack the Springer Spaniel won just about everything, not just because he wanted to get the competitions part over and done with quickly to get to the cake, but because he wanted to win the prize of Tallulah's most treasured yellow ball. However, the ball wasn't on the prize giving agenda, so Tallulah soon put him right about that. Zack then had to choose some of the real prizes instead.

Like all good parties, there was a family argument, with Khan and Tara Shepherd having a teeth and fur fight after Khan told Tara to shut up and leave him alone. Poor Khan was disgusted that the agility equipment wasn't there waiting for him. "Party" he roared, "p-a-r-t-y??? I am here for agility, not to play silly games .
Here is he below, walking away from Tara in disgust, in search of the agility equipment.

Poor Tara was left very confused as to why she got bitten for nagging at Khan to lighten up.
After all the games and events of the afternoon were over, the moment everyone (apart from Khan that is) had been waiting for arrived......

Here it comes:

The birthday cake!!!! Mmmmm all organic and made from fresh mince.
and everyone is very happy indeed....

including Alex the Labrador!

But then again, he is a Labrador..... yum yum.
The fun and games also had a serious side to it. We managed to raise £70 for Wiccaweys Border Collie Rescue, and evidently there is more to come, as somebody who couldn't make it to the party wants to make a donation this Wednesday. So thank you to everyone who has donated some cash to such a wonderful and exceptionally well run rescue scheme. The money WILL go to the dogs who are in need and everyone there will all be very grateful.
Other news.
I am engaged to be married!!!
My intended is Grrrrace (she has a blog too) and she did propose to me. She lives in Whales (Wales Barkley......Wales!!!!). She is very small and sweet and she has started to learn agility so that we can run around together. Oh I am soooo happy.
I went to Letchworth agility show. It was very very windy there, and it was great fun until I was attacked by a horrible Hungarian Viszla. I hadn't done anything to provoke it. I was just walking along attached to the lead, minding my own business, when it broke free from its handler and flew into my side. I was left with a large and painful lump for over a week. The owner was as much as a nightmare as the dog, as she later came back to mum shouting that she needed to keep ME under control. She was a very nasty lady, with a very nasty dog to match. It has really put me and mum off going to agility shows, as there are more and more aggressive dogs participating at Kennel Club shows. The Kennel Club know there is a growing problem, but as per usual are being very slow to act upon it. Since then, I have become nervous around Henry, George and Albert Viszla's. I have always known them and mum is very sad that I am no longer happy when they appear. Mum says that they are very nice and happy Viszla's and she is sure that I will soon be leaping up and down when I see them. Even our old Nalle and Lotte loved them.
Despite the attack, I did have some lovely times at Letchworth:
