I was very worried

Arooo rooo rooo!!! From me at Setterville.

It has been a very stressful time for us just recently. As I wrote before, we lost our dear old Nallebones a few months ago, and then something else happened which made me very worried.

We got up one morning, and Tallulah vanished out of the door with mum and without me!
Nalle disappeared like this too and never came back.

After a while - shock horror, mum came home without Tallulah, awwwww where could she be? I was very worried and didn't know what to do. Mum also seemed to be very worried, but not extremely upset like she was when Nalle went out of the door, but it was still very very worrying.

Whatever was happening, must have been quite serious, because the phone made its noise and mum spoke to it as she often does, and then said "I will see you later Barkley, I have got to go out for a while". I really can't understand what that phone does, but mum speaks to it quite a bit during the day, but on this particular occasion, it seemed to be making her stressed. What could it have been saying to her?

Anyway, off she went, and about 3/4 of an hour later she came home with a very sleepy Tallulah who didn't want to speak to me, or play. In fact she was sleepy for the remainder of the day, and mum was getting worried that Tallulah wasn't doing her pee's . Could she be dehydrating? Mum placed some very wet cotton wool inside Tallulah's mouth to get some hydration in, and waited a while. Eventually up she got, had something to eat, a little to drink - and then went back to sleep!

The following day, she still slept and slept. Mum explained to me that Tallulah's armpit had been operated on, and that she was worried about her still being so sleepy. However, Tallulah soon had a pee, which meant that the waterworks were operating as they should, and this was soon followed by a nice long drink. What a sigh of relief mum gave.

The operation under the armpit was to remove a grass seed which had migrated 2 inches into her muscle and had caused the tissue to become diseased. Poor girl, she must have been in agony. The only way we knew that she wasn't happy was that she wasn't getting on too well with her agility, and eventually stopped jumping. What looked like a small abscess under her arm, was hiding something far more dangerous, especially as the seed was migrating upwards, and towards her heart!

All this - despite the fact that mum checks us on a regular basis for things like grass seeds and other foreign bodies. Whatever next!

The main thing was that she was back home - with me. Not able to go out running, but at least she was back!

Anyway, Tallulah has almost made a full recovery now - almost - but not quite. She has just started her agility training again, but over lowered jumps, and she is racing across the fields searching for squirrels and bunnies, so I guess she ok-ish now - even to the extent that .....
...........

Her horns are growing back :-O arrrrrghhh!!!!

So, now we are all happy again, and as you can see, I am looking particularly happy....

This is because I am engaged to be married and our engagement party will be in 3 weeks time - yeeeeaaaaaaaa!!!!

Here is my intended:

This is Miss Grrrrrrace, and Miss Grrrrace lives in Whales, were we did go for a very wet holiday some months ago.

I am looking for an engagement collar for my Deerest Pawlett and I am thinking about something along these lines:

I am not sure if it will be this one yet as it takes a boy a while to make up his mind over something as special as this and for such a special young lady too. Awwwww awwwww. Roooooooooo!!!
