Ups and Downs

Aroooo roooo rooooo.

Well, that DottieDotDog has well and truly gone and taken over now. She somehow managed to wrap her little paws all around me, and persuaded me to play with her. Not only that, but she has convinced herself that I actually like her and have welcomed her as a member of our family. I really wouldn't believe it if I were you. That really is not the case.

It has been a boring winter. We haven't really gone anywhere. No shows, no practice sessions. The winter seemed to kill off most things which I find interesting.

In fact during the past couple of weeks I have not felt very well at all, and have been really down. The man in the pet shop said the food order hadn't arrived, and mum had to change us to a different brand of meat and it really did upset my tummy, and Tally's! We both rumbled and gurgled over a period of days. I was also sick with it which caused mum quite a bit of concern.

I became very sleepy, and suffered headaches. I then started refusing to eat anything - even my Fish4Dogs, and that really did cause mum to worry. I adore my Fish4Dogs, and for me to turn my back on them sent shivers down mum's spine! That was it. Off to the vets I went. "Don't worry", roared Mr. Rory Vet, "he has just got a tummy ache and will be alright very soon. If he is not right in a few days time I would like some of his pee and some blood".

W-H-A-T?????? What on earth is HE made of??? is he a vampire? why does he want my pee and my blood? I have met some crazy humans in my time, but I have NEVER heard anyone say anything quite that insane!!!

That really got me worried. The next day I ate NOTHING at all, not even my most favourite lambs hearts, so back I went again to the vets, but not before mum had chased me around the neighbourhood carrying a tray - I think she was trying to steal my pee!!! Obviously vets disease must be highly contagious!!!!

This time, I saw Mr. Steve Vet. "oh nothing to worry about, he just has a tummy ache. Tell him to take these tablets to calm the inflammation, and bring him back on Friday if he hasn't eaten anything by then!

Well, that well and truly did it - Today I have eaten. I really don't want to go back to that mad house, where dogs sit there shaking. No wonder everyone shakes as they wait their turn to go in. The fact that mum ended up chasing me around with a tray in her hand is enough to convinced a dog that he had better start eating again. Not only that, but I went for a lovely happy skippy beautiful run with my friends Alfie, Mia and Ziggy today. Oh I do love the sunshine....

This is much better than going back to house where the vets live!!!
