Its' here. Summer! At long last summer arrived here today, and it was a lovely warm beautiful day. I really thought summer had forgotten us this year and I had totally given up on the idea.
Its been a strange year for us thus far. Normally during the 'summer' we are out and about at agility shows, but this year, mummy hasn't been that great, and the thought of all the hanging around at shows has been enough to make her tired, let alone the getting out there and doing it all. I do miss my agility training and shows, and without them I become quite bored, and then..... I start to think about other things.... especially the ladies, and one lady in particular:
Cor, she has really grown into a bit of alright, I must say. I have really had the hots for her BIG style. Poor mummy was tearing her hair out, because Daisy Mae was on my mind day and night.
"But she is NOT in season", mummy wailed in desperation.
"oh but she IS, and what more could a boy dog wish for!!! Corrrrrr..... oooooh. She is soooo scrumptious.
I have been threatened with trips to the vet to have an implant put in. I have been threatened with a trip to the vets to have a sleep and to come home minus a bit of my anatomy. I don't care though. Daisy Mae..... awwwwwwwwwwww. You must admit lads, she really is a bit of alright, isn't she!!!
I have be very careful here, because my wife, Gracie Harris-Griffin will be reading this, but she already knows that Daisy has been taunting me with her best tarts perfume, and the more I have tried to ignore it, the more Daisy has turned it up to red hot. In fact, she has literally put me into contortions. This was me at my worst !!!!
This really is not a good time for me to be tempted like this, because on Wednesday it is my first wedding anniversary. Yes, it was a year ago that Gracie Harris and I tied the knot at Tradegar House in Wales. It really doesn't seem like a year has already flown by..... but awwwwwww.
A year is a very long time in dogdom and a lot of things happen, and it seems like forever since Gracie and I got together. We have been trying to move to Wales, but as yet, the right property is just not showing itself to us. Either it is being sold at auction. It is not suitable for doggie activities. It is too sloping for our agility equipment, or it has just gone under offer. It is very frustrating, but we are determined that we shall move to Wales, but we might have to rent someone else's property, until we find the right one for us to buy. I am sure Gracie will put that Daisy Mae in her place once we get there...... awwwwwww.
The problem with Daisy Mae is that success has gone right to her head, and not only does she wear the very best of perfumery, but she also likes a few beverages here and there too ........ Oh please don't tell anyone that I have mentioned this, because we really don't want to spoil Daisy Mae's public image now do we!!! She will no doubt be telling the whole world about her excursions into stardom in her own blog over the next few days.
Last week I had a terrierfying experience! I was very very poorly indeed (probably because of what that Daisy had been doing to me). I woke up on Saturday morning and was sick.
In fact I was sick, and I was sick and I was sick. Mummy really worried about me, and took me to Terror Towers where the strange people live who steal your blood, but this time they only looked at me, and felt me over. The lady gave mummy a whole pile of pills, not for her to take, but for me, but I didn't want them. In fact, the very thought of them made me even sicker. Mummy put them down my throat, and up my throat they came again. During the afternoon, my legs were like jelly, and I crawled my way to my water bowl to have a drink. Even that made made me very sick, so mummy took me back to Terror Towers.
There was another lady there. She wasn't very nice and mummy really doesn't like her at all, so she apologized to me as she handed me over. This time, mummy left without me. I tried to pull away from the nasty lady, but she took me away and put me in a kennel, and stuck a needle in my arm, so that the drinking stuff would stay inside me.
All night long I was there. A nice lady visited me later, and in the morning, a very nice man stole my blood, and then phoned mummy to say I was well enough to come home. Everyone was so relieved that I was eating and drinking again, and able to go out for a good run.
Mummy is a bit worried that I have lost a lot of weight. Not that I had much of that in the first place, but now I am a bit like a stick insect, so I have been getting lots and lots to eat. I now go up to people, and show them my ribs, and tell them that nasty mummy never feeds me, and I give my most hopeful of looks, and then they take pity on me, and give me something nice.
See, I have now got it off to a fine art ha ha.
At least my poorly problems only lasted a couple of days. Tallulah still has her issues, but even she is doing really well at the moment, so we are hoping that the vets are wrong, and that she will stay with us a lot longer.
Yesterday, we went to the field and did some agility training, just to keep us in the swing of things. I had a lovely time out on the course, as the girls lay there watching and hoping that their turn would be next.
Hey Gracie, at least it keeps his mind off of Daisy whilst he is galloping around and jumping.... thank goodness for that!!!
