Yes, this is me.
Haven't I grown?
I am now almost 7 months old
Here is Tallulah (Tally to her friends)
Nalle (Mr. Bones) to his friends
And last - but definitely not least, our Alpha Lotte
(The Duchess, or even Yetti,
because of her bushy coat)
Why have we been sooooo good?
Well, a few days ago, we were walking down towards our paddock to meet a lady about a dog. We pass quite a few paddocks along the way, which often have horses in them. However, just recently the horses haven't been there, but mum is always on the lookout, and spotted a couple of girls coming along the footpath on horseback, so she started to think about gathering us in. Before she could get the words out of her mouth, all of a sudden, and without any prior warning, a huge flock of sheep shot out of a service track which leads to the paddocks.
"Sheeeeeeeeeeep" eeked mum. "There have never been sheep along there before" she exclaimed! But sure enough there they were, all standing looking at us. The farmer then came racing along on his buggy and drove the sheep straight towards us "W-A-I-T" wailed mum "W---A---I---T".
We all stood rock still as the flock raced by. Mum then spotted Tallulah's eyes light up and a huge grin sweep across her face ....."W---A---I---T" she screeched, so we did, and didn't move a single muscle.
The farmer knew mum, Lotte, Nalle and Tallulah, and trusted that they would be safe. He hadn't realized that I was there too. Master puppy, who has only just passed all his Good Citizen's Tests". Mum said her heart went right up into her throat, knowing that if I had taken off after the sheep, the others would probably have gone too, so that is why she is soooooo proud of us.
The farmers daughter then came walking along with the Collie in tow, so we all stopped for a chat. "That was SOOO impressive" she said "So well under control, not like many of the dogs around here". Mum replied "I hope they would be, because that is my job". The farmers daughter replied "But even then, that is just SOOOO impressive" She was truly amazed when she discovered that I am still a puppy and did precisely what I was asked to do. Mum says that I have truly earned my Good Citizen's Gold Award, but remaining steady with the distraction of a flock of sheep passing by isn't included.
So another day passed.
Tallulah thinks I make a wonderful pillow!
