My first grown up agility class

Aroooo rooo rooo roooo!

I have been a really good boy. I have had my first grown up agility class!!!! I am now just over 10 months old, and last Thursday, Auntie Jayne (Bray) came to our paddock and started showing mum some lovely bouncy puppy exercises to give me over very low jumps.

I went over the jump:
I also went through the tunnel:

I then went down a line of jumplets as fast as my legs would carry me:

You see, I have to go over very low jumps because I am still so young. My bones haven't finished growing yet, so mum and Auntie Jayne are being very careful not to over exercise me, so that they don't cause any damage. Mum is hoping that I will have a very long and happy agility career, like dear old Lotte, and not have to retire at an early age due to wear and tear injuries.

Auntie Jayne and mum were also surprised that I had learned how to run along the planks and stop on the lighter coloured part which is called "the contact". Mum had only spent a few minutes teaching me this one Saturday afternoon. You will see from the top picture that the planks are flat on the ground. Eventually these will be lifted up quite high, and I will have to run up, across and down the otherside.

I finished up the morning by going through the tunnel again:

Oh I really did enjoy myself. Tallulah had been watching from the sidelines and she was so jelous. Auntie Jayne didn't forget her though, and gave her a few minutes training too. One day, I am going to be as good (if not better) than Tallulah. She had better watch out, because I am growing up fast.

Here is a picture of my eyes now that they have been operated on. I knew mum was trying to take photo's of my eyes, and I didn't like it, I thought that flashing thing might get me, but we were outside in the bright warm sunshine, so it wasn't all that bad really:

This is how I used to look:

Many many licks and "arrooo's" to Philip Hanlon of Milton Keynes Veterinary Group for making life so much happier for me. I like going to the vets. I get treats.
